Change Diagnosis & Process – Technostructural Management
The purpose of the Module 1 research paper is to extend the critical thinking process associated with a specific area of organizational development and change. In this paper, you will focus on Technostructural Change Management.
– You will describe and analyze a change, develop a change process, and address the critical issues in implementing the change. Remember, as the OD consultant, be strategic about organizational development and change.
– Be sure to discuss your role as the OD consultant and other roles and responsibilities. List the key stakeholder and leadership responsibilities.
– Your paper will begin with a description of the change and why change is needed and necessary.
– You will also include the change process (identifying an action plan or sequence of steps or activities) that a change agent or management team would implement, as well as identify the intervention characteristics.
Outline the specific intervention characteristics such as training programs, job satisfaction characteristics, job design, or change of company culture.
Paper Formatting and Grading
Gather information from the textbook and outside sources. In regard to formatting, please use APA style as follows: YOU MUST use Times New Roman 12-point font, double line spacing and 1 inch margins. Please do not use extra spacing between paragraphs. No headings or subheadings and refrain from overuse of short paragraphs. The paper length below refers to textual content. Title pages, abstracts, long quotes, bulleted lists, charts, graphs, pictures, references sections etc. are not considered as part of your page length. These are added to enhance the paper as outlined in the rubric. Please cite all your sources with in-text citations and a references section at the end of the paper. Here is a link to a video I made to show you how to use the Word References Manager. This feature will ensure your citations and references are formatted correctly and save you many hours looking up each type of reference. https://youtu.be/_jhf8NRErYY
Remember, you should not quote your sources word for word, but re-write the idea or content in your own words and then cite the source. All long quotes, bulleted lists, charts, graphs, and pictures belong in the appendices, not in the body of the paper. This paper is due Sunday night. Please pay close attention to the grading rubric below.
Please proof-read your paper before submitting. Contact the Writing Center for assistance with editing, if needed.
